The Electronic Journal of Applied Statistical Analysis (EJASA) is an international OPEN ACCESS and peer-reviewed journal, published half-yearly (until 2009 annually) articles which contribute new research ideas in all areas of the statistical science including social and economical applications, theoretical or computational papers related to probability or statistics. All the papers in the EJASA are refereed papers by two international reviewers.

In addition, special issues dedicated to a specific topic will also be published on EJASA.

Its scope is to promote study and research in all fields of statistics and to contribute to the diffusion of the statistical thinking culture.

Publication in EJASA is free of charge. The submitted papers are accepted only in English describing original research not published nor currently under review by other journals. Parallel submissions will not be accepted.

All submitted papers, if relevant to the themes and objectives of the journal, will go through two rounds of an external peer-review process. The decision about any submitted paper will be taken within at least four months of receipt.

Papers must be submitted electronically via online submission only in LATEX format (as ZIP folder). Here you can Download the LATEX Template, the instructions for the Authors and the guide to make bibliography with LATEX.

EJASA in WoS-ESCI 2016!

We are pleased to announce that The Electronic Journal of Applied Statistical Analysis (EJASA) is indexing in Thomson Reuters Web of Science™ (WoS) Core Collection - Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) . Thomson Reuters has launched WoS-ESCI in November 2015, to extend the universe of publications in WoS to include high-quality, peer-reviewed publications of regional importance and in emerging scientific fields. Inclusion in ESCI provides greater discoverability which leads to measurable citations and more transparency in the selection process.

Many thanks to authors and reviewers of EJASA, that make it possible!

This Special Issue has been promoted by BDSports (Big Data Analytics in Sports), a project developed as part of the activities of the Big & Open Data Innovation Laboratory of the University of Brescia, born in 2016 thanks to the financial support of Fondazione Cariplo and Regione Lombardia.

BDSports is designed to set up a unique collaboration of experts interested in sport analytics both from a scientific and a practical point of view. The goal is to create a network able to facilitate contacts and joint research initiatives. Specifically, the project aims to organise events, carry out Special Issues in scientific journals, share ideas and data in order to publish scientific and non-scientific papers, collaborate with teams in various sports by supplying them analytics and apply for research grants. The data scientists expertise covers a wide range of quantitative tools in the fields of statistical modelling, multivariate data analysis, data mining, algorithmic modelling and machine learning.
