Il testo presenta alcune riflessioni sul fondamento filosofico del counseling. La tesi fondamentale è che il counseling, quando pienamente compiuto, trova le sue ragioni e i suoi strumenti nella filosofia. L’argomentazione si basa su due assunti: da un lato che la storia del pensiero è segnata da un processo di de-antropocentrizzazione che ha portato ad individuare nella razionalità, o meglio, nella possibilità della razionalità l’elemento precipuo dell’essere umano; dall’altro che la storia della filosofia è mossa dalla continua ridefinizione del proprio oggetto di analisi, e che questo processo ha portato allo sviluppo, grazie alla svolta linguistica, del ragionamento critico come strumento filosofico per eccellenza.

The paper presents some reflections on the philosophical foundations of counseling. The fundamental thesis is that counseling, when fully accomplished, finds its reasons and its tools in philosophy. The argument grounds on two assumptions: on the one hand, that the history of thought is marked by a process of de- anthropocentrization that led to the identification in rationality, or rather in the possibility of rationality, the principal element of the human being; on the other hand, that the history of philosophy is driven by the continuous redefinition of its object of analysis, and that this process led to the development, thanks to the linguistic turn, of critical reasoning as the philosophical tool par excellence.

Le texte présente quelques réflexions sur les fondements philosophiques de la consultation. La thèse fondamentale est que la consultation, lorsqu'elle est bien remplie, trouve ses raisons et ses outils en philosophie. L'argument repose sur deux hypothèses: la première, que l'histoire de la pensée est marquée par un processus de de-anthropocentrisme qui a conduit à l'identification de la rationalité, ou plutôt dans la possibilité de la rationalité, l'élément principal de l'être humain; d'autre part, que l'histoire de la philosophie est entraîné par la redéfinition continue de son objet d'analyse, et que ce processus a conduit à la mise au point, grâce à la tournant linguistique, le raisonnement critique comme l’outil philosophique par excellence.
