Her work as a researcher focuses on ecosystem services from urban gardens in Barcelona, Spain. She is involved in the research project Urban Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services’ (URBES) and in the COST-Action TU1201 “Urban Allotment Gardens in European Cities”.

Johannes Langemeyer, (Diplom Geographer, MSc) is a PhD-candidate under joint supervision from the Institute for Environmental Science and Technology (ICTA-UAB), Spain, and the Stockholm Resilience Centre (SU), Sweden. His work is dedicated to urban ecosystem services and their integrated assessment. He contributed to the United Nations Cities and Biodiversity Outlook (CBO1) Project (under UN-CBD), and is affiliated with the European research project Urban Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (URBES) and the Operationalization of Natural Capital and Ecosystem Services (OpenNESS).
Laura Calvet-Mir

Laura Calvet-Mir (PhD) is a research fellow with IN3-UOC (Barcelona, Spain) and affiliated researcher at ICTA-UAB (Barcelona, Spain). Her doctoral dissertation (2011) was embedded in a Spanish project aiming to study biocultural conservation in rural gardens throughout the Iberian Peninsula. Her research focuses on urban and rural agriculture, agroecological transitions and biocultural diversity. She is part of the management committee for Spain of the COST-Action TU1201 “Urban Allotment Gardens in European Cities”.

Erik Gómez-Baggethun

Erik Gómez-Baggethun (PhD) is a Senior Researcher with the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research (NINA). His research covers various aspects in ecological economics and political ecology with a focus on environmental governance, ecosystem services and resilience theory. He was lead author of the report ‘The economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity’ (TEEB) and chapter coordinator for the CBD’s report ‘Cities and biodiversity Outlook’ (CBO1). He currently serves as expert in a task force of the Inter-Governmental Panel for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES).

Hug March (PhD) is a Senior Researcher at the Internet Interdisciplinary Institute (IN3), Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. His research focuses on the political ecology of urban transformation and urban infrastructure. He has also done extensive research on water management in Spain and has authored or coauthored more than 25 papers in international scientific journals in the fields of Geography, Urban Studies and Environmental Studies. Among other projects he is involved in the COST-Action TU1201 “Urban Allotment Gardens in European Cities”.
