Aline Burni (aline.burni@die-gdi.de) has a PhD in Political Science from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG/Brazil), where she collaborates with the Centre for Legislative Studies (CEL). She is a researcher at the German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE), working on the topics of right-wing populism and international development policy. She is a member of the research network ‘Observatório da Extrema Direita’ (Observatory of the Extreme Right) based in Brazil.

Eduardo Ryo Tamaki (eduardo.rtamaki@gmail.com) is a graduate student at the Department of Political Science from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG/Brazil). He is a researcher for the Center for Studies on Political Behavior (CECOMP - UFMG), working on the topics of populist attitudes, and cultural backlash. He integrates the Textual Analysis team of Team Populism (BYU) and works as a researcher and collaborator for the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz - Instituto René Rachou).
