Greta Rauleac

Greta Rauleac is a PhD candidate at the Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology of Central European University (CEU), Vienna. She holds a Master’s degree from the same department where she specialised in global and urban studies, and a joint bachelor degree in Communications from John Cabot University (Rome) and Università degli studi di Milano. She is interested in exploring innovative forms of collaborative research with a focus on social marginalisation and resistance practices in urban settings. She is also a founding member of Wild Pear Arts, an organisation which aims to bridge the visual arts with academic social research, and has produced several short documentaries that explore the role of folklore and diaspora culture in the Vlach community across the Balkans. Her work has been featured in several international film festivals and anthropology outlets such as Suomen Antropologi, InVisible Culture and RomaTre Press’ Compresenze.
