Paris Aslanidis is a Lecturer of Political Science at Yale University, Department of Political Science and Hellenic Studies Program. His work on populism analyzes the phenomenon at the level of political party systems as well as a type of social movement. He is currently working on an intellectual history of populism that seeks to understand how the concept has been employed by political scientists, historians, sociologists, and economists. Among other academic journals, Paris has published with Political Studies, Democratization, Sociological Forum, Mobilization, and Quality & Quantity. His chapter on “Populism and Social Movements” was recently published in The Oxford Handbook of Populism.
