Rebeca Jasso-Aguilar is part time faculty in the Department of Sociology at the University of New Mexico, where she received her PhD in 2012. She has coauthored articles on the subject of globalization and healthcare. Her current work focuses on the relevance of Gramscian theory to explain current struggles against neoliberalism in Mexico and Bolivia. Her scholarly interests include social movements, political sociology and political economy, sociology of development and sociology of Latin America.
