O discurso científico mediado pela web. Legendar videoverbetes entre tipologias textuais, línguas especiais e problemáticas tradutórias

Abstract

The aim of the present work is twofold. On one hand, the analysis will focus on the characteristics of Brazilian academic speech, basing on the videoverbetes of the Enciclopédia audiovisual de termos, conceitos e pesquisas em Análise do discurso e áreas afins, a web-mediated audiovisual project which collects the speeches of Brazilian scholars specialized in Discourse Analysis (and other areas), coordinated by Bethania Mariani of the Laboratório Arquivos do Sujeito of the Departamento de Ciências da Linguagem, da Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF). On the other hand, the analysis will consider and describe the problems which may occur in the subtitling of this hybrid textual genre in Italian. Furthermore, the videoverbetes will be compared and contrasted with another hybrid text genre: the TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) talks, a web-mediated genre, which shares common features with the academic discourse.
