Testimonianze manoscritte sull'Armatura e le armi di Scanderbeg a Venezia
Abstract
New documentation has emerget from Venice's archives regarding Scanderbeg's weapons. Scanderbeg's armour was displayed for centuries in the Arsenal, and a sword was preserved in the Doge's Palace, thought to belong to him. At the end of the Serenissima Republic many places that preserved artistic goods were ransacked and a lot was smuggled or lost. The new evidence opens up to researche and investigation, also in relation to the weapons preserved in Vienna.
