During a visit to Toulouse, a girl imagines that she is suddenly in the middle of the trial of Vanini. After listening carefully to the various interventions, in defense of the accused or against him, she tries to speak to him. She wants to tell him that the freedom he fought for has been assimilated by western civilization. Failing to receive complete answers from the condemned man dragged away, she can only hope that Vanini will leave a message of encouragement to posterity to continue to believe in the values for which he was burned at the stake.

Una ragazza immagina, durante una visita a Tolosa, di trovarsi improvvisamente nel pieno del processo a Vanini.
