In the story, the figure of the Vanini suddenly breaks, almost by accident, into a school day of a student, who has nothing special compared to many others. After a brief moment of amazement, the two interlocutors were quick to weave an interview in which, behind the humorous technique of the misunderstanding of words, the comparison between past and present is revealed. The naïve questions that the two interlocutors ask each other on the one hand undermine the certainties of the present, on the other they show the interest of the young people of the year 2000 for his choices that V. made at the time.

Nel racconto la figura del Vanini irrompe improvvisamente, quasi per caso, in una giornata scolastica di una studentessa, che non ha nulla di speciale rispetto a tantissime altre. Superato un breve momento di stupore, i due interlocutori non tardano a intrecciare un colloquio in cui, dietro la tecnica umoristica dell'equivoco sulle parole, si palesa il confronto tra passato e presente. Le ingenue domande che i due interlocutori si rivolgono reciprocamente da un lato mettono in crisi le certezze del presente, dall'altro mostrano l'interesse dei giovani del Duemila per le sue scelte che V. ha compiuto a suo tempo.
