Gli Statuti di Scutari sono un testo giuridico redatto in veneziano prima del 1346. È frutto di fonti giuridiche diverse: diritto veneziano, consuetudini albanesi, diritto bizantino e anche diritto serbo. Sono espressione di larga autonomia: il potere più rilevante, quello di giurisdizione, durante il dominio serbo era dei giudici cittadini. Alcuni decenni dopo, sotto la dominazione veneziana quel potere passò interamente nelle mani del Rettore veneto.

The Statutes of Shkodra is a legal text written in Venetian language before 1346. It is the result of various legal sources: Venetian law, Albanian customs, Byzantine law and also Serbian law. They are an expression of a great autonomy: the most important power, that of jurisdiction, during the Serbian rule was that of the city judges. A few decades later, under Venetian rule, this power passed entirely into the hands of the Venetian Rector.
