Abstract

Il più grande spettacolo dopo il week-end (The bigger show after the week-end): focus, sintax and macrosintax in the Fiorello’s tv show. In this paper we are going to examine Fiorello broadcast speech, presenter in the entertainment television show Il più grande spettacolo dopo il week-end. We will embrace the French analysis model by Claire Blanche-Benveniste; it will obviously be subjected to some modifications in order to make it suitable to Italian language; for example we will not take into account grammatical matter about plural desinences, that is a really important issue for the French language in which under one-third of oral conversations has audible desinences: je [parl] tu [parl] il [parl] ils [parl] / parl-o parl-i parl-a parl-ano. In the lexical analysis we will take into account regional remarks, technical terms, figures of speech, superlatives, synonyms, neologisms. Syntax analysis will take into account neostandard italian. About macrosyntax we will consider how the sentences are arranged; we will meet the new definition for a sentence developed by Cresti, and the difference between noyau, préfixe and suffixe. Our corpus includes 9 hours of television broadcast, recorded between 2011 November and December
