La prima fase del centrismo e la questione migratoria nel secondo dopoguerra

Abstract

Within the framework of the beginning of the Cold War, the theme of this essay aims to analyze the policy of centrism on the problem of emigration at the end of the Second World War. The study focus-es on the elements related to assisted emigration policies, which were organized and managed by the institutions through the ministries of Labor and Foreign Affairs. It also highlights how some of the Mar-shall Plan’s funds have been used to support the Italian emigration abroad. Therefore, it substantiates the outline of a new migration policy that differs from both the Fascist and the Liberal Italian periods due to a strong public intervention in this matter.
