Alternative Food Networks (AFN) e comunicazione virtuale: il caso della rete Salento km0

Abstract

Alternative Food Networks (AFN) and virtual communication: the case of the Salento km0 network. The advent of web 2.0 has profoundly changed the relationship between information, production and consumption, so much so that it has transformed the very way man interacts with food, generating new opportunities to know, discover and disseminate information. At the same time, in opposition to the standard models of food production, the Alternative Food Networks (AFN) are developing, which, thanks to a constant awareness, are moving from niche production to a wider and wider market. This work, through the case of the Salento km0 network, aims to highlight how, through the world wide web, AFNs can offer themselves not only to an already "loyal" audience, but also to a wider audience of consumers, enhancing the value of the places of production, while conveying ideas, reflections and a more ethical, sustainable and healthy lifestyle.
